UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
I am so sad ... however, the solution is to talk to them with only one modifier ... in other words, only have a conversation about "cents." With that process, they can't be confused ... and you'll only pay 73.xx cents. All operations and denominations are singularly cents ... and then there is no confusion ... maybe.
