Low performing students are often low performing students. They don't do anything but cause trouble for their fellow students and their teachers. Experienced teachers try to make their efforts effective by teaching the teachable. If students in other countries behaved the way American students do, and if their attitudes toward education were as poor as our students' attitudes, their achievements would mirror ours.

I thought the point was that as a population we are out-manned 8 to 1 by India and China. Hence development of high tech industries will continue to happen overseas.

So this misleads the public into thinking we need to "improve" as opposed to "innovate" our education system.

When is someone going to show a plan for innovative learning experiences that are scalable?

I'll release my vision in 2010.
